Schaeffler was announced as a "Brand Pillar: Propulsion Choices" winner during the Ford Motor Company's virtual event on Oct. 30, according to a news release.

Marc McGrath, Schaeffler Americas CEO, said Ford and Schaeffler have a long-standing relationship in developing new technologies and ideas. The company is honored to be recognized for its groundbreaking MHT hybrid module, which combines an electric motor in a compact arrangement with the torque converter to enhance power and efficiency, he said.

The e-mobility center of competence team in Wooster "continues to strengthen our commitment to design, develop and manufacture new technologies for our automotive customers," McGrath said in the release.

Hau Thai-Tang, chief product platform and operations officer with Ford, said in a prepared statement the annual World Excellence Awards recognize top-performing suppliers for their contributions to Ford's success.

“Congratulations to Schaeffler for being a recipient of this coveted award," Thai-Tang said. "Thank you for all that you do in support of Ford Motor Company.”
